2290 BCR (101 DCOR) RCACC has its foundations in the No. 101 Vancouver Public Schools Cadet Regiment, which was organized on the 18th of November, 1903. This makes 2290 one of the oldest cadet corps in Vancouver. The British Columbia Regiment has a long history of supporting cadets, going back to over 100 years ago when No. 101 Vancouver Public Schools Cadet Regiment was attached to the 6th Regiment (The Duke of Connaught's Own Rifles). The 6th Regiment (DCOR) has gone through several redesignations and amalgamations, culminating in the designation The British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught's Own), the regiment we are currently affiliated with. We have a long history of serving our community and we are a proud member of the extended British Columbia Regiment family.
